New bridge crossing

New bridge crossing

The road was moved to a new bridge crossing south of the station area.

Heggedal station

The project was situated near the railway station in Heggedal, in Asker municipality. Earlier the county road crossed the railway on the same level as the tracks. The road has now been moved to a new bridge crossing south of the station area.

Heggedal station

Project scope. The project included the construction of approx. 800 m of new road, a 50-m long pedestrian and bicycle bridge with a 130-m long driving ramp, and approx. 220 m of retaining wall 5-7 m in height, as well as several smaller retaining walls. There were poor soil conditions in the area, and because of this the piling for the foundations of the walls and columns had to be drilled into solid rock. A new access road to the parking facilities at Heggedal railway stationhas also been made.

A temporary security tunnel was installed across the train tracks at the site of the new ramp. This required a temporary lowering of the contact line to the railway. The works were carried out while the tracks were not in use. The Norwegian National Rail Administration commissioned an upgrade of the current parking facilities, and a park was also created to the north of the station. A new water and sewage system to serve the local area has been installed for the municipality of Asker.
